Ulaanbaatar’s public transport will maintain its current schedule throughout the school year, operating from 6:00 AM to 10:30 PM on weekdays and 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM on weekends. This information was announced by E. Togoldor, a network engineer at the Public Transport Policy Department. The city is increasing the number of buses in service to accommodate the increased passenger flow with the start of the new academic year on September 1st. A total of 1,172 buses will operate on weekdays and 1,012 on weekends, a rise from the summer schedule of 1,087 and 939 buses respectively. Night buses continue to run between 10:30 PM and 2:00 AM on both weekdays and weekends, providing continuous service to residents. The public transport authority reports no changes to the overall operating hours.
