Ulaanbaatar city officials recently provided updates on ongoing infrastructure projects and investments. Road renewal projects are 32.3% complete, encompassing 132.2 kilometers of work including new construction and renovations. Preparations for the 2026-2027 winter season are currently 25.1% complete, with varying progress across areas like heating (25%), public utilities (15%), flood control (58%), and boiler maintenance (17%). Over 702 billion tugriks worth of contracts are allocated to 169 projects, with an overall completion rate of 53%, spanning construction, utilities, renovations, and equipment. A significant portion of this investment focuses on education, including the construction and expansion of schools, kindergartens, and sports facilities. In 2026, projects totaling 47 billion tugriks and covering 38.6 km are planned, with 20,328 square meters already completed.
