Hot water outages in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, initially scheduled to begin in May for pipeline maintenance, are continuing beyond their projected completion dates. The state-owned company UBDSC announced a schedule of planned disruptions for residential and commercial areas, but residents report delays in service restoration. For example, areas near Dragon and Moscow districts experienced a ten-day outage starting June 2nd, yet hot water had not been restored as of today. Authorities state UBDSC has extended the reconnection timeline. Previous repairs in the Nisekh area were also delayed by two days. Further disruptions are anticipated, with work commencing today in Bayanzurkh district. Despite a 10 billion Tugrik budget allocated for winter preparation, the repairs are falling behind schedule, causing inconvenience to residents.
