Ukrainian robotics company Ratel has expanded its operations from ground-based robots to aerial drones, recently testing its first strike drone. The newly developed drone, named Ratel K1, demonstrated a successful flight covering a distance of 30 kilometers. A key feature of the drone is its utilization of a Starlink satellite internet connection, enabling long-range operation and communication. The Ratel K1 is capable of carrying a two-kilogram payload. This development marks a significant advancement in Ukraine’s drone capabilities and highlights the growing integration of commercial technology, like Starlink, into military applications. The successful test flight suggests a potential shift in battlefield tactics, allowing for extended-range precision strikes.
