A Ukrainian diver, Volodymyr Zhuravlov, suspected by German authorities of involvement in the 2022 Nord Stream pipeline explosions, has been detained in Pula, Croatia. According to German media outlet LTO, Zhuravlov was in Croatia to participate in the production of a film inspired by the sabotage. The arrest reportedly occurred while filming scenes depicting a gas pipeline explosion. German authorities suspect Zhuravlov’s involvement in the actual blasts, but his presence in Croatia was related to a creative project mirroring the event. The film was intended to dramatize the 2022 incident that severed critical Russian gas supply lines to Europe. Further investigations are ongoing to determine the extent of Zhuravlov's involvement in both the film and the alleged sabotage.
