The Ukrainian group Interpipe, one of the world's largest steel pipe producers, has resumed operations at the former ArcelorMittal plant in Roman. The facility was recently acquired by the group, which is controlled by Victor Pinchuk, the second wealthiest person in Ukraine. Following the restart of production last month, Interpipe now intends to scale up its output of steel pipes. To support this growth, the company plans to recruit additional personnel for the site. This move signals a strategic investment in Romania's industrial sector by the Ukrainian billionaire. The expansion aims to leverage the existing infrastructure to increase global market share.
