A Russian strike on a shopping center in Kryvy Rih, Ukraine, has resulted in at least fifteen deaths, with children among the victims. The attack also injured at least 130 people, including 23 children, according to Ukrainian officials. Separately, in the Mykolaïv region, another Russian strike caused a fire in commercial buildings – a store, a pharmacy, and a post office – leading to four additional fatalities, three of whom were minors. These attacks highlight the continued targeting of civilian infrastructure during the ongoing conflict. Ukrainian authorities are currently responding to the emergencies and providing aid to those affected. The strikes represent a significant escalation in violence against non-military targets. Investigations into potential war crimes are likely to follow.
