UNHCR data reveals that almost six million Ukrainians have been forced to leave their country due to the ongoing conflict. A staggering 5.762.000 refugees have been recorded, with the vast majority – 5.213.000 – seeking safety in Europe. While most have found refuge within the European Union, significant numbers are also in countries like Russia, Turkey, and those in the Caucasus region. The figures align with data from Ukraine’s Ministry of Economy, highlighting the scale of the displacement crisis. Over half a million refugees are outside the EU, UK, and Norway. This represents one of the largest refugee movements in recent European history, placing a substantial burden on host nations. The situation continues to evolve as the conflict persists.
