Ukraine’s air defence forces successfully intercepted and destroyed 106 out of 128 drones launched by Russia overnight. The attack utilized Shahed drones and other unspecified types, targeting multiple locations across the country. Strikes were recorded at 14 different sites as a result of the barrage. This latest assault represents a continued escalation in Russia’s use of drone warfare against Ukraine. Despite the high number of drones deployed, Ukrainian forces demonstrated a significant capability in countering the threat. The successful interceptions highlight the importance of continued Western aid in bolstering Ukraine’s air defence systems. Authorities are currently assessing the extent of the damage caused by the strikes.
