Forecasters predict another heatwave next week, potentially reaching 36°C in East Anglia and southeastern England by Thursday. The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has issued a yellow alert for heat-related health issues across much of the country. This summer has already seen two record-breaking heatwaves in May and June, linked to over 2,800 excess deaths. July was the driest month in England and Wales since records began, and significant drought conditions are now affecting half of England and all of Wales.
