The University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) and the Ghana Health Service (GHS) are jointly creating a new national training program. This initiative focuses on bolstering the leadership and management skills of nurses and midwives in Ghana. The program aims to specifically target those already working in managerial roles within the country’s healthcare system. By investing in this training, both institutions hope to improve the overall effectiveness of healthcare delivery. This collaboration represents a significant step toward strengthening the core of Ghana’s healthcare workforce. The new curriculum will address critical leadership competencies needed for success in demanding healthcare environments. Ultimately, this program seeks to enhance the quality of patient care across Ghana.
