Authorities in Nabilatuk District, Uganda are grappling with an increasing number of street children in Nabilatuk Town Council. These children, ranging in age from 6 to 12, have left their homes and are now living on the streets. The District Security Committee is actively addressing the issue, but faces challenges in containment. The reasons these children abandoned their homes remain unclear, prompting concern for their safety and wellbeing. This situation highlights the growing social vulnerabilities within Nabilatuk. Efforts are underway to understand the root causes and develop effective intervention strategies to protect these vulnerable youth. The problem was first reported by URN.
