A prominent Ugandan activist aligned with the National Unity Platform (NUP), Andrew Nabimanya—known as NinyeTabz—has reportedly been abducted by security operatives in Kampala. The NUP reports Nabimanya was taken from the Kamwokya area on Wednesday evening by individuals travelling in unmarked vehicles. He is known as an anti-corruption whistleblower and a photojournalist documenting political events. NUP Secretary General David Lewis Rubongoya confirmed the abduction, raising concerns about his safety and whereabouts. Details surrounding the incident remain scarce, and authorities have not yet commented on the alleged abduction. This incident adds to a pattern of reported detentions and disappearances of opposition figures in Uganda.
