A captain in Uganda’s Special Forces Command (SFC), Yonasan Tibenderana, has been remanded to Luzira Prison after being accused of soliciting a 200,000 Shilling bribe. Tibenderana allegedly obtained the money from a woman under the false promise of expediting the issuance of her National Identity Card. The 35-year-old appeared before Nakawa grade one magistrate Rhoda Achom Ochom on Tuesday and pleaded not guilty to the charges. Further details surrounding the case were not immediately available.
