Two students died after entering the Meghna River for a bath in Sonargaon, Narayanganj. The bodies were recovered by Fire Service divers on Wednesday evening from the Meghna ferry ghat area. The victims have been identified as Meraj, a 15-year-old tenth-grade student from Bornomala School, and another student from AK School and College. Meraj was the son of Raju Mia from the Shonirakhra area of Kadamtali in the capital. The second victim was the son of Faruq Bhuiyan from the Dhania area. Local authorities and emergency services coordinated the recovery operation. The incident has caused significant grief among the families and school communities.
