The Saraya department experienced two fatal traffic accidents in less than twenty-four hours. The first incident occurred on the Saraya-Bondala axis, where a 34-year-old man died after being thrown from a pick-up truck. The second accident took place Sunday near Kharakhéna in the Bembou commune. This collision involved two motorcycles and resulted in one death and two injuries, one of whom is in serious condition. Preliminary reports suggest that a high-speed overtaking maneuver caused the motorcycle crash. In total, these two tragedies left two people dead and several others injured. Local authorities have opened an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of both accidents.
