Two men are facing charges of fraud and embezzlement after allegedly defrauding a senior citizen in the Trutnov Region out of approximately 5 million Czech crowns. Exploiting the victim’s trust, loneliness, and poor health, the pair ingratiated themselves with the elderly man before systematically stealing his assets and money over several months. Investigators allege the men convinced the senior of their good intentions before gradually robbing him of his possessions. Police have now proposed indictments against both individuals.
