Turkey’s Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi announced comprehensive security measures for the upcoming Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS), the country’s university entrance exams. The plan involves deploying personnel to 11,883 schools across the nation. A total of 44,886 security personnel and an additional 6,907 support staff will be on duty during the exams. The deployment aims to ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the YKS. Minister Çiftçi stated the measures are intended to prevent any disruptions and maintain the integrity of the examination process. These efforts reflect the importance placed on the YKS as a critical pathway for students’ higher education opportunities. The nationwide operation will cover all exam centers and surrounding areas.
