Tunisian battery manufacturer, Accumulateur Tunisien Assad, has acquired complete ownership of its Algerian subsidiary, Batteries Assad Algérie (BAA), by buying out local Algerian investors. The move signals a strengthening of Assad’s presence in the Algerian market. Simultaneously, the company is preparing to open its capital through a fundraising round, aiming to raise 22.1 million dinars. This capital increase will support the next phase of BAA’s development and expansion. Several options are currently being evaluated to facilitate this new investment stage. The announcement was made in a stock market statement on July 23rd. This acquisition demonstrates Assad’s commitment to its North African operations.
