Three children, aged 12 and 13, died after swimming in the Mediterranean Sea near Tarragona, Spain. The victims were part of a group of six youths who jumped from rocks into the water on Friday. Strong currents caused the group to struggle, though three of the others managed to reach the shore safely. One 12-year-old boy died immediately, while two 13-year-olds passed away in the hospital the following day. The incident occurred in an area of the beach without lifeguards. A yellow flag was flying at the time, indicating that swimming was discouraged due to dangerous conditions. In response to the tragedy, the city of Tarragona has declared a period of mourning.
