Funding from RTÉ’s Toy Show appeal is bolstering child and adolescent mental health services in Sligo. A €16,000 grant will facilitate the creation of a new child therapy centre within the Sligo Rape Crisis Centre, expanding support for young people impacted by trauma. Additionally, the Sligo Leitrim Home Youth Liaison Service (HYLS) has received a €40,000 grant. This funding will specifically support the HYLS Autism Support Programme, increasing resources for children with autism. These initiatives aim to address growing needs for specialized mental health and neurodevelopmental support in the region. The grants demonstrate a commitment to providing crucial services for vulnerable youth. Both organizations expressed gratitude for the impactful financial support.
