Police have concluded their investigation into a fatal stabbing that occurred last October in Hranice, Přerov region. A nineteen-year-old man killed his forty-four-year-old stepfather during a birthday celebration. The weapon used in the attack was a cake knife. According to reports, the tragedy was preceded by the stepfather's verbal insults and physical assaults on other family members. The young man now faces a potential prison sentence of up to eighteen years. Authorities have finalized the criminal proceedings regarding the incident.
