Twenty science and mathematics teachers are participating in a five-month program designed to integrate drone technology into classrooms. The initiative will involve visits to various companies, providing teachers with hands-on experience and practical knowledge of drones. Participants will collaborate to develop new teaching materials focused on drone applications within science and math curricula. This program aims to equip educators with the skills needed to prepare students for a future increasingly shaped by drone technology. The focus is on bolstering STEM education by utilizing a cutting-edge and engaging tool. This initiative reflects a growing public and educational interest in the potential of drones beyond traditional applications. The new materials are expected to be implemented in classrooms following the program’s completion.
