Mining Engineering Services Tanzania Ltd (MES) is establishing Tanzania’s first Hot Dip Galvanising factory in Mwanza, signaling growth in the nation’s mining manufacturing sector. The new plant is expected to generate 800 jobs and significantly reduce the country’s reliance on imported mining equipment. Commercial production is slated to begin in October, focusing on essential underground mining products like Split Sets and Dome bolts. This development will strengthen the local mining supply chain and contribute to economic growth. The factory represents a key investment in local manufacturing capabilities for the crucial mining industry.
