Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) Secretary Kenani Kihongosi has urged the contractor of the $20 million Mgambalenga irrigation project to adhere to its original completion schedule. During a site visit in Iringa, Kihongosi explicitly stated that no further extensions to the project timeline will be granted. The project, valued at Sh23.9 billion Tanzanian shillings, aims to boost agricultural productivity in the region. Kihongosi’s directive underscores the government’s commitment to timely infrastructure development. The inspection took place at Mtandika Village, where the project is currently underway. This action signals a push for accountability and efficient resource allocation in public works. The project’s successful and prompt completion is considered crucial for local agricultural development.
