Tanzanian drug authorities have made a significant impact on illegal cannabis cultivation in the Morogoro Region. The Drug Control and Enforcement Authority (DCEA) destroyed 603 acres of cannabis farms during a recent operation in the Mvomero District. Authorities also seized 49 bags of cannabis and apprehended 13 suspects believed to be involved in the illicit activity. The operation further identified 21 camps used by the cannabis growers, suggesting a widespread operation. This crackdown demonstrates Tanzania's ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and cultivation within its borders. The DCEA continues to target and dismantle illegal drug operations across the country. This seizure represents a major blow to the illegal cannabis trade in the area.
