A newly completed bridge in Tanzania’s Masasi District has significantly improved transportation for residents of Mkululu Ward and surrounding areas. The bridge, constructed along the Chingutwa–Songambele road, addresses long-standing transport challenges in the region. The project was undertaken by the Tanzania Rural and Urban Roads Agency (TARURA) as part of the Roads for Inclusive Socio-Economic Opportunities (RISE) Programme. Prior to the bridge’s completion, residents faced difficulties with year-round access due to transport limitations. The new infrastructure is expected to boost connectivity and facilitate socio-economic activities. The completion of the bridge marks a positive development for the local community, enhancing access to essential services and markets.
