Moroccan police in Tangier have dismantled a criminal network involved in international drug trafficking, seizing 700 kilograms of cannabis resin. The operation, conducted Sunday in the Kzania area on the outskirts of Tangier, was based on intelligence provided by the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance. Four individuals allegedly connected to the smuggling ring were arrested during the coordinated operation, which involved collaboration with the Royal Gendarmerie. Authorities indicate the network was actively engaged in the international trafficking of narcotics. The seized cannabis represents a significant disruption to the drug trade in the region. Further investigations are underway to determine the full extent of the network’s operations and identify any additional participants. This bust highlights ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking within Morocco and internationally.
