The first game of the 2026 Chinese Professional Baseball Championship Series took place in Taiwan today, with the Wei Chuan Dragons defeating the Chin-Fu Brothers. Pitcher Chiang-Chieh delivered a stellar performance, pitching eight scoreless innings and leading the Dragons to a victory. The Chin-Fu Brothers, however, struggled to score and were unable to overcome the Dragons’ strong offense and pitching. This win for the Wei Chuan Dragons marks a strong start to the series. The Chin-Fu Brothers now face the challenge of overcoming a perceived "runner-up curse," having previously lost in the championship series. The series continues with the next game scheduled to be played in Taiwan. This opening game sets the stage for an exciting championship battle between the two teams.
