The National Day holiday in Taiwan is nearing its end, and Taiwan High-Speed Rail (THSR) is increasing services to accommodate returning travelers. Starting tomorrow, October 11th, over one hundred additional trains will operate heading north. Specifically, additional trains will run from Taichung and Changhua towards Taipei. To further assist passengers, all seats on additional trains departing from Chiayi will be unreserved, operating as free seating. Passengers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and anticipate potential crowding. The THSR is taking these measures to alleviate travel congestion following the four-day holiday and ensure a smoother return for commuters. Travelers are encouraged to check the THSR website or app for the latest schedules and information.
