A Swedish angler, Johan Wajkert from Emmaboda, has broken the Swedish record for the largest grass carp caught. The fish weighed in at an impressive 21.38 kilograms (approximately 47 pounds). Wajkert is an accomplished angler, having already registered over 50 different species of large fish with the Swedish Sport Fishing Association’s record registry. This latest catch surpasses previous records for grass carp in Sweden. Wajkert is now sharing his techniques and insights into successfully landing such a large specimen.
