The Oktoberfest in München, the world’s largest folk festival, is known for its cheerful atmosphere and high levels of beer consumption. This raises the question of how street workers assist young, intoxicated individuals at the festival. FOCUS online accompanied the Condrobs association during their rounds to observe their efforts firsthand. The organization provides support and assistance to festival-goers, even in challenging locations like the notorious “Kotzhügel” (Vomit Hill). Their work focuses on ensuring the safety and well-being of young people amidst the festivities. This includes offering help with navigating the festival grounds, providing a listening ear, and intervening when necessary to prevent dangerous situations. Condrobs’ presence aims to counterbalance the potential risks associated with excessive alcohol consumption during the Oktoberfest in München.
