Severe thunderstorms swept through the South Moravia region of the Czech Republic, leaving approximately 4,500 homes without electricity. The districts of Břeclav and Hodonín were the hardest hit by the power outages. As of 9:30 PM local time, roughly 1,400 customers were still experiencing a loss of power, according to E.ON spokesperson Lubomír Budný. Emergency services reported dozens of call-outs due to storm-related incidents. Train operations were also disrupted on two sections of railway near Jihlava due to mudslides and debris on the tracks, as reported by Czech Railways (ČD). Authorities are working to restore power and clear the railway lines.
