Automaker Stellantis has begun real-world road testing of solid-state batteries developed by Factorial Energy. The batteries are being tested in a vehicle built on Stellantis’s STLA Large platform. These solid-state batteries are projected to increase vehicle range by 30 to 40 percent compared to current battery technology. This testing phase is a crucial step in evaluating the performance and viability of Factorial Energy’s technology for future electric vehicles. Stellantis aims to integrate this improved battery technology into its EV lineup to enhance competitiveness. The road tests will provide valuable data on battery durability, safety, and overall performance under various driving conditions.
