Thirty-one years ago, on July 17th, six Bosniak men from Srebrenica were executed by the Serbian paramilitary unit known as the "Scorpions" in Trnovo. The victims, ranging in age from 16 to 36, were shot in the back, adding to the horrific toll of the Srebrenica massacre. The names of those killed have been released: Safet Fejzić, Azmir Alispahić, Sidik Salkić, Smail Ibrahimović, Dino Salihović, and Juso Delić. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the brutality of the Bosnian War and the targeted killings of civilians. The event continues to evoke deep sadness and calls for continued pursuit of justice for the victims and their families. The lack of accountability for these crimes remains a significant concern, hindering reconciliation efforts in the region. This remembrance underscores the importance of preserving the memory of the Srebrenica genocide.
