The Korean agency for international cooperation, KOICA, delivered IT equipment to Mozambique’s National Institute for Disaster Risk Management (INGD) on Wednesday in Maputo. The donation aims to strengthen Mozambique’s capacity to respond to and mitigate the impacts of climate change. This assistance is intended to enhance the INGD’s operational efficiency in disaster preparedness and response activities across Mozambique. The equipment will support data collection, analysis, and communication during climate-related emergencies. This initiative signifies continued cooperation between South Korea and Mozambique in building resilience to climate shocks. KOICA highlighted the importance of proactive disaster management given Mozambique’s vulnerability to cyclones and floods. The donation forms part of broader efforts to support sustainable development and climate adaptation in the country.
