Jeff and Tammie Broin have donated 20.5 acres of land to the city of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The land will be incorporated into Great Bear Recreation Park, specifically for conservation purposes. Currently, no recreational facilities are planned for the newly donated area. The donation is contingent upon approval from both the Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation Board and the City Council. This gift from the biofuels CEO and his wife supports community objectives for improving outdoor recreational spaces and natural habitats within Sioux Falls. The park currently attracts approximately 200,000 visitors annually, and this expansion aims to further enhance its appeal.
