Chilean singer-songwriter Tomás del Real and Argentine musician Pepi Prieto are building a musical life in the Estonian town of Viljandi. Drawn by the city’s peaceful atmosphere and supportive music community, the pair are creating music infused with their South American heritage. Their work often features the charango, a traditional 10-stringed instrument central to Andean music. A recent collaboration, the song “Canto Oscuro” holds particular significance for Prieto, a native of Buenos Aires. The musicians found the dark Estonian winter a fitting backdrop for completing the track.
