A South African woman from Durban is among those missing following devastating flash floods near the Tibet-Nepal border. Terricia Govender, 33, was part of an Isha Foundation pilgrimage group visiting Mount Kailash when an immigration office was swept away. Her family last communicated with her on Tuesday and are now urgently seeking information regarding her wellbeing. The floods have left several pilgrims unaccounted for, sparking a search and rescue operation. Govender’s family is understandably distressed and are pleading for any news. Authorities are assessing the full extent of the damage and working to locate all those missing in the disaster. The situation remains fluid as rescue efforts continue in the challenging terrain.
