Emergency repairs to critical sections of Mozambique’s National Highway Number 1 (N1) in Sofala province have begun following months of delays caused by flood damage. The damage, inflicted by recent heavy rains, impacted important sections of the vital roadway. A contractor is currently on-site, focusing on a 12-kilometer stretch identified as particularly critical. The work aims to restore connectivity and facilitate the flow of goods and people.
