Education professional and social activist Re'ut Ben Haim from Netivot, who led protests against aid entering the Gaza Strip during the war, will be placed on the Religious Zionism party list for the 26th Knesset. The decision was made by Bezalel Smotrich, head of the party. Ben Haim gained prominence for her opposition to providing assistance to Gaza amidst ongoing conflict. Smotrich stated that Ben Haim will bring a “feminine, values-driven, and determined voice” to the Knesset. This move is seen as an attempt to appeal to a broader base of voters. The Religious Zionism party aims to strengthen its representation in the upcoming elections. Ben Haim’s inclusion signifies a focus on social issues and protest movements within the party’s platform.
