A severe storm in Bratislava's Petržalka district caused a tree to fall onto a BMW X5. Firefighters instructed the driver to move the vehicle to clear the area. During this maneuver, the car accelerated uncontrollably in reverse, striking a group of bystanders. The accident seriously injured an 11-year-old child and a 24-year-old woman. Despite medical efforts at the hospital, the woman, a Slovak Olympian, passed away. Her husband has since pointed to the firefighters' instructions as the cause of the tragedy.
