Slovakian firefighters successfully rescued an ostrich that became trapped in a concrete shaft in central Slovakia. The large bird fell approximately 1.5 meters into the circular concrete structure. Emergency responders were called to the scene and devised a plan to safely extract the animal. Utilizing specialized equipment and techniques, they were able to hoist the ostrich out of the shaft without injury. The rescued ostrich was then assessed and confirmed to be in good health. Details regarding the location and ownership of the ostrich have not been released.
