Slavia Prague’s women’s team will not compete in this year’s Champions League after losing to Glasgow Rangers in the second qualifying round. Despite leading 1-0 with a goal by Briedeová until the 80th minute, the team ultimately fell to a 1-2 defeat in extra time. The match took place in Scotland as part of a mini-tournament format. This marks another season without Champions League football for the Prague club. They will now attempt to secure a place in the Europa Conference League. Slavia will compete for that opportunity in a match on Saturday. This result concludes their Champions League qualification journey for the current season.
