Singapore’s Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) has arrested 39 individuals suspected of involvement in drug activities conducted via the Telegram messaging application. A significant portion of those arrested, 19 individuals, are believed to be connected to a single drug trafficking network. Notably, half of those apprehended are under the age of 30, highlighting the involvement of younger individuals in such crimes. Investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of the network and the types of drugs involved. This operation underscores the CNB's efforts to combat the misuse of online platforms for illicit drug trade within Singapore. Authorities continue to monitor and disrupt such activities to safeguard the community. Further details regarding the seized drugs and charges faced by the suspects have not yet been released.
