Singapore has launched its first private assisted living development, offering a new housing option for seniors. The 195,000 square foot facility began operations on Tuesday, providing a range of services to support independent living with care. Developers are aiming for a 30 percent occupancy rate within the first year of operation. CNA was granted an exclusive preview of the development’s interior. This new facility addresses a growing need for specialized housing solutions as Singapore’s population ages. The assisted living concept bridges the gap between independent living and traditional nursing homes, focusing on promoting wellness and social engagement for residents. It provides services like housekeeping, laundry, and meals, alongside healthcare support.
