A severe storm system is forecast to impact much of the Czech Republic starting Friday afternoon and continuing into Saturday night. The Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ) has issued a warning for wind gusts up to 90 kilometers per hour and hail exceeding two centimeters in diameter, particularly in parts of Bohemia. Other regions will experience strong thunderstorms with heavy rainfall, though with smaller hail and winds peaking at 70 kilometers per hour. The storms are expected to bring intense downpours and potentially hazardous conditions. Residents are advised to prepare for strong winds and possible flooding. The warning covers a significant portion of the country, urging caution and preparedness.
