Cooler-than-normal temperatures will persist across Türkiye throughout the week, accompanied by strong thunderstorms and storms in many regions. The Turkish Meteorological General Directorate (MGM) has issued a "yellow" alert for 20 provinces, including İstanbul, warning of potential adverse conditions. Meteorologist Adil Tek forecasts that the rainy period will last for two weeks. He also predicts the arrival of “pastırma sıcakları” (pastrami weather - a period of warming) towards November. Residents in the affected provinces are advised to take precautions against potential flooding and strong winds. The prolonged period of unsettled weather follows a generally cooler start to the season across the country. Officials are monitoring the situation closely.
