Serbian fire and rescue services are increasing their capacity in the Toplica region ahead of the anticipated wildfire season. The Prokuplje fire station received a new vehicle today to enhance its capabilities. Additionally, a helicopter and drones will be stationed in Niš to provide rapid response support for potential fires in the Toplica district. This deployment aims to strengthen firefighting efforts and improve surveillance across the area. Authorities cite concerns about increased fire risk due to ongoing dry conditions. The move represents a proactive measure to protect communities and infrastructure from potential damage. Further personnel are also being added to the Toplica firefighting force.
