Ibrahim Mbaye, an 18-year-old Senegalese international footballer, has received permission to postpone his baccalaureate exams until September due to his commitment to the national team’s 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign. The offensive midfielder, currently with Paris Saint-Germain’s youth academy, successfully petitioned to reschedule his STMG (management and business studies) exams. Mbaye has experienced a rapid rise in prominence, becoming a key player for both Senegal and PSG. He recently scored against France in an international match and has already achieved success, winning the African Cup of Nations with Senegal and the European championship with PSG. Notably, he became the youngest Senegalese player to participate in a World Cup final phase. The deferral allows Mbaye to concentrate on his football career without sacrificing his education.
